Who May Enter
The contest is open to all UL Lafayette students and student organizations.
How to Enter
Tag your public Instagram photos with the hashtag #ULIG16 and at least one of the hashtags for the nine categories listed below. Have an old gem that you want us to consider? No problem! Tag your older posts in the comments to make them eligible. If you have a private account, you can enter by sending a screenshot of the Instagram post with the proper tags to Instagrammys@louisiana.edu. For the Best Instagram Account Awards, accounts must NOT be private.
Contestants may enter as many photos for each category as they would like.
Each submission, in its entirety, must be a single work of original material taken by the Contest entrant. By entering the Contest, entrant represents, acknowledges, and warrants that the submitted photograph is an original work created solely by the entrant, that the photograph does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity, and that no other party has any right, title, claim, or interest in the photograph.
The photo submissions must not, in the sole and unfettered discretion of the sponsors, contain obscene, provocative, defamatory, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate content.
Watermarks are not acceptable.
Contest Prizes
Winner’s will receive an official UL Lafayette Instagrammy trophy among other gifts and surprises. The winner of the Best Instagram Account (Student) will also receive $100 in Cajun Cash! The student organization that wins Best Instagram Account (Student Organization) will get to take over the @ULLafayette Instagram account for a week! There will be free food and giveaways for those attending the ceremony!
Judging (Normal Catagories)
Normal Categories
Submissions will be judged on creativity, school spirit, technical skill, humor, and the like. The instagrammy judging committee will assess all posts and place nominees’ work into the categories that best fit that image or video. Then, the instagramy voting committee will vote on the entries to determine a winner.
Judging (Best Instagram Account Awards)
In order for a student or student organization to win in their respective categories, they must first be nominated. The nomination form located here must be completed in full and signed with a UL Lafayette email address for the nomination the be accepted. A public vote will be cast to determine the winners. For these particular awards, accounts must NOT be private.

Does your student organization have what it takes to grab this coveted prize? For this particular award, accounts must NOT be private.
Best Instagram Account (Student)
Individual achievement by a single student. For this particular award, accounts must NOT be private.
Terms and Conditions
The 2016 UL Lafayette Instagrammy Photo Contest begins Monday, February 29, 2016, at noon and ends Friday, April 1, 2016, at 11:59 p.m. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these official rules ("Official Rules"). By submitting an entry, each entrant agrees to the Official Rules and warrants that his or her entry complies with all requirements set out in the Official Rules. This is a skill-based contest and chance plays no part in the determination of winners expect in the case of the Best Instagram Account Awards (See Below).
License
By entering the Contest, all entrants grant an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide non-exclusive license to Authorized Parties (the Sponsors), to reproduce, distribute, display and create derivative works of the entries (along with a name credit) in connection with the Contest and promotion of the Contest, in any media now or hereafter known.
Winners List
A winner’s list will be displayed the The UL Lafayette Instagrammy official website no later than a week after the ceremony.
