The UL Lafayette Social Media Team (SMT) is a group of students who use their creativity to craft content and complete projects for the University's official social media accounts, including Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, as well as the website.
Team members have a diverse set of talents—photographers, designers, filmmakers, meme & GIF creators, writers, influencers, and pop culture trendsetters (or, at least, trend identifiers). Working with UL Lafayette's social media strategist and the Office of Communications and Marketing, SMT members use their skills to bring the diverse perspectives and voices of UL Lafayette students to the University's social media platforms while gaining invaluable social media and marketing experience working with a large institution.
Requirements: Attendance at monthly meetings, one blog post (written or video) per academic year, and monthly coverage of an event or creation of a shareable post (September-May). The desire to entertain and inform students at UL Lafayette through social media is a must!
